It's a favorite among herbalists and home remedy enthusiasts alike. Whether you're warding off winter sniffles or simply craving a tangy health boost, this recipe brings the heat and the healing. Let’s brew some fire!

Ingredients:

1/2 cup grated fresh ginger root

1/2 cup grated horseradish

1 medium onion, chopped

10 cloves garlic, minced or crushed

2 jalapeño chiles, chopped (can be substituted with 2 tbsp cayenne pepper)

1 lemon sliced

1 orange sliced

2 tbsp dried rosemary or several fresh rosemary sprigs

1 tbsp ground turmeric or 1/4 cup grated fresh ginger

1 tbsp whole black pepper

1/4 cup raw honey

Apple cider vinegar (fill jar enough to submerge contents by 2 inches)

Instructions:

  1. Combine all the ingredients together inside of a large glass jar

  2. Pour raw apple cider vinegar over the ingredients until they are completely covered with at least 2 inches over

  3. Lid the jar and give it a good shake

  4. Store in a cool dark place such as a kitchen cupboard and shake daily for 1 month as it ferments and infuses.

  5. After 1 month, strain out ingredients through a muslin or cheese cloth and store the cider in a glass bottle in the fridge.

Take a shot every day to take care of cold or flu symptoms, or for general wellness. Can also add it to a tea with some more honey if it's too strong to drink alone.
